6,0,6,6,6 – Outstanding Kieron Pollard turns back the clock in CPL T20 | Cricket News

Former West Indian all-rounder Kieron Pollard was in top form in Caribbean Premier League (CPL) on Tuesday and scored a brilliant unbeaten half century and led Trinbago Knight Riders to a comeback victory with four wickets over Kings of St. Lucia in Gros Islet.
Chasing a challenging target of 188 to win, Trinbago's required run rate kept climbing, needing 27 runs from the last 12 balls when Pollard took matters into his own hands.
In the penultimate over, bowled by pacer Matthew Forde, Pollard performed at his best, hitting four sixes in five balls to turn the tables against the Kings.

The six balls of the over produced 24 runs (0,6,0,6,6,6), leaving Trinbago needing just three runs from six balls. Pollard scored a rapid half-century, scoring 52 runs not out from just 19 balls, and was deservedly named Man of the Match.
Akeal Hosain (5 not out) hit the first ball of the last over for a four that reached the target.
This was Trinbago's second win of the tournament. The team now has four points from three matches and is currently in third place in the six-team rankings.
