Jayson Tatum trolls former Celtics teammate Grant Williams in a highly funny way in his new children's book

It's been a great summer for Celtics star Jayson Tatum, who can now add the title of author to a long list of titles.

Months after winning his first NBA title and signing a historic contract extension to stay in Boston, Tatum and Sam Apple are co-authors of the children's book “Baby Dunks-a-Lot,” which hits shelves Tuesday, September 10.

The book, inspired by Tatum's relationship with his son Deuce, has made headlines for featuring some of Tatum's NBA opponents. Alongside superstars LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler, the book hilariously features one of Tatum's former Celtics teammates as the baby's main antagonist.

Here's more about the book and how Tatum used it to troll his former teammate.

Jayson Tatum trolls former Celtics teammate Grant Williams in his new children's book

The title “Baby Dunks-a-Lot” is self-explanatory as it follows a basketball phenomenon – a dunking baby who competes against the best players in the world.

As Tatum walks his fans through the book, the familiar similarities to the players he selected are hard to miss. But what's funniest is that Grant Williams is the worst affected.

Early in the book, Williams' shot is blocked by Tatum, a reference to Tatum's defense of one of Williams' shots from the midfield during his time in Dallas.

Spoiler alert! But the book seems to be leading to Baby Dunks-A-Lot leading the Ballers to victory with a game-winning dunk over a visibly upset Williams.

As Tatum's thank-you message to the players in the book shows, their inclusion was just in fun. The images of Williams perfectly embody the love-hate relationship he and Tatum developed during their four years as teammates in Boston.

Seriously, who could forget Tatum's unsuitable for work reaction to Williams' decision to dress up as Batman for Halloween?

But the roots lie in love. In March, Tatum denied rumors on social media that Williams was “annoying” and a “bad locker room guy” at the Celtics.

Although this time it was all about fun, if this is the first book in a series, Williams might want to read the scouting report for Baby Dunks-a-Lot. Spoiler: He dunks. A lot.
