The French First Lady is a surprise guest in the new season of “Emily in Paris”

PARIS (AP) — France’s First Lady Brigitte Macron will appear as a surprise guest at the fourth season of the Netflix series “Emily in Paris”, Parts of it were published on Thursday.

The series' lead actress, Lily Collins, who plays Emily Cooper, told the Associated Press on Wednesday that Brigitte Macron is “a huge fan of the series.” The first lady invited her and Darren Star, the series' creator, to a meeting several years ago and expressed her desire to appear in the series, Collins said.

“She was so kind and warm and welcoming and she was so enthusiastic about the show,” Collins said. “It was so much fun having her on set, she improved, we had so much fun together… It was an honor to do this with her.”

In one episode of the new season, the First Lady plays herself.

The first half of the fourth season was released on Netflix on August 15th.

The entire cast traveled to Rome this week to present the new episodes. Some of them take place in Rome.
