Award-winning actor Ewan McGregor will be honored with the 2,789th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, September 12th at 11:30 a.m. PT at 6840 Hollywood Boulevard, adjacent to the El Capitan Theater. McGregor will receive the 2,789th star in the Motion Picture category. Host Steve Nissen will be joined by Mike Mills and Hayden Christensen.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce manages the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame for the City of Los Angeles and has been the proud host of the world-renowned star ceremonies for decades. Millions of people from here and around the world have visited this cultural landmark since the 1960s.

Emmy Award winner Ewan McGregor is considered one of the best actors of our time and has a wide range of roles in various genres. From his breakthrough as heroin addict Mark Renton in Trainspottingto the legendary Obi-Wan Kenobi in the second published Star Wars trilogy and the Disney+ special event series Obi Wanto the lead role in the Oscar and BAFTA Award-winning musical Moulin-Rouge!McGregor’s career has been marked by a consistent series of courageous performances.

McGregor recently completed filming for David Robert Mitchell’s new movie, Flowervale Roadfor Warner Bros. and Bad robotnext to Anne Hathaway.

Apple TV+ returns to Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman's motorcycle franchise The long road to the top that it was revived in 2020 with an untitled show a little closer to McGregor's home.

He recently appeared in the critically acclaimed miniseries A gentleman in Moscowthe adaptation of the novel of the same name by Amor Towles, for which he was also an executive producer. McGregor played in Obi-Wan Kenobithe special event series for Disney+ in which he reprised his acclaimed role as Obi-Wan. He also served as executive producer on the multiple Emmy-nominated series, which premiered in May 2022, breaking Disney+ viewership records and becoming the platform's most-watched show worldwide.

McGregor won an Emmy Award for his portrayal of Roy Halston in the Netflix miniseries Halston. The series, which he also executive produced, follows the meteoric rise and fall of America's first star fashion designer. McGregor also won both the Golden Globe and the Critics' Choice Award for his performance in season three of the Emmy-winning FX drama Fargo.

In the fall of 2020, McGregor appeared in the third episode of his motorcycle documentary series. The long road to the top.
