While the Red Sox likely won't have the ground clearance needed to be one of the American League's wild-card teams this postseason, they gave the Bronx Bombers a huge boost by taking two of three games from the Baltimore Orioles, including a three-run walk-off home run in the final game of the series on Wednesday.

With Baltimore's loss and the Yankees' win, the 27-time World Series winners are now 1.5 games ahead of the O's. A decisive three-game series between the two AL East heavyweights will take place in the Bronx later this month.
