Dolphins QB suffers possible concussion against Bills

Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins left the Thursday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills with a concussion.

Miami trailed Buffalo 31-10 late in the third quarter and faced a fourth down and four at the Bills' 13-yard line.

Tagovailoa fought for a first down, but instead of sliding, he lowered his shoulder and rammed his head into the midsection of Bills safety Damar Hamlin.

Tagovailoa appeared dazed, swaying, and lifted his head off the ground after the game. He extended his right arm overhead, extended his fingers, then clutched his helmet with his left hand.

Tagovailoa recovered from an injury break and cautiously left the field, heading to the locker room shortly afterward.

The Dolphins have ruled him out because of a concussion.

Tagovailoa, who signed a four-year, $212.4 million contract extension in July, did not miss a start last year but suffered at least two concussions in 2022.
