Buffalo Sabres Open Thread | Week of September 9th

Members of the Sabres at the Bills home opener on Sunday

Happy Monday everyone! It's cool and fresh and football has started, so hockey is just around the corner.

The Buffalo Bills overcame their absolutely miserable start to the season in the first half of their home opener yesterday and were able to pull off a big win thanks to a much more mature performance in the second half. There are still a lot of rough edges that need to be worked out, but for now, all is well.

The Buffalo Sabres players have started to make themselves known in the city and had several high-profile appearances over the weekend.

Ice hockey is also on the agenda in our immediate future, with the first training session of the rookie camp starting on Wednesday. This is followed by the Prospects Challenge, in which the Sabres will play the Blue Jackets on Friday, then the Devils on Saturday and finally the Penguins on Monday afternoon. LINK

The Sabres Fan Fest also takes place on Saturday with many different fun activities.

Here is the Sabres roster for the youth tournament – looks pretty solid at first glance.

Use this open thread throughout the week to discuss all things hockey and beyond, Sabres, Amerks, etc.
