Miranda Lambert talks in detail about her delicious romance with Brendan McLoughlin

“We honestly kind of live on a date,” she explained. “We really spend a lot of time together. We're like best friends. Even when we spend time apart, we really find a way to connect and always have dates.” (For more on Miranda's interview, see E! News tonight, September 11th, at 11pm)

And New York is definitely a special place for the couple, because it was here that they met in November 2018 when Brendan was visiting Miranda in Good morning America with her group the Pistol Annies.

“My friends, the Annies, saw him and knew I might be ready to go out with someone,” she told the New York Times 2019 about their meeting. “They invited him to our show behind my back. They chose him for me. My security man Tom, he was also in on it. He said to me: 'He's here. And he's handsome.'”

Looking back, Miranda – who was previously married to Blake Shelton– really can't believe that she and Brendan got together like this.

“It's like some kind of Hallmark movie or something,” the 40-year-old told CBS News in 2022. “Like this redneck from Texas meets this, well, beautiful NYPD officer on the street in New York. But it actually happened.”
