‘Agatha All Along’ actor says Marvel is ‘not just for straight white men’

The new Disney Plus series Agatha – All the time is set to be released this month. The highly anticipated MCU project is set to follow the events of WandaVision and even help set the stage for Marvel’s vision Series. Before the premiere of the show Agatha – All the time Star Joe Locke has now spoken about the world of Marvel and says that it is not “only for, well, heterosexual white men.”

Joe Locke made this statement while speaking to Paul McGuire Grimes and other cast members of the series. The question that sparked Locke's response was about misconceptions that have arisen regarding Marvel.

Grimes asked the following question, which was shared via That Park Place:

“There is a line about Patti [LuPone] that's what Patti says about misconceptions and rumor-mongering involving witches. So what do you think are some misconceptions about Marvel?”

Locke’s response was recorded as follows:

“That it's only for straight white men. That's not true.”

Grimes responded with the following:

“Correct. That's not it.”

Locke's character in the series, called “Teen,” is gay, just like the actor who portrays him in real life. Details about his role have been kept top secret, but he is believed to be a very important character to the overall story. We'll see how his role develops when the project is released.

In the meantime, whether people feel that Marvel is for them or not “heterosexual white men”, The studio and those involved in the projects want to create a diverse and inclusive franchise. No matter what happens, it will continue to be a franchise that has something for everyone, that everyone can enjoy or relate to.
