Netflix docuseries “The Comeback: 2004 Boston Red Sox” is coming soon

The upcoming documentary series “The Comeback: 2004 Boston Red Sox,” which documents the team’s path to the 2004 World Series, is set to premiere on October 23, Netflix announced Monday.

Now, twenty years later, the three-part series features interviews with players such as Pedro Martinez, David Ortiz and Kevin Millar and tells the story of how the Red Sox ended their 86-year championship drought.

Directed by Colin Barnicle, the documentary series also takes a look at the Red Sox's feud with their arch-rivals, the Yankees.

Viewers can hear the voices of those who made this historic victory possible, including former manager Terry Francona, former general manager and vice president Theo Epstein and many more.

Another series on the Red Sox will follow next year, documenting their 2024 season with exclusive interviews from players, coaches and executives.

After a 12-3 win over the Orioles on Monday, in which Rob Refsnyder and Tyler O'Neill hit back-to-back home runs, the two teams face off again tonight at 7:10 p.m. at Fenway Park.
