Michigan State Spartans Football vs. Prairie View A&M

Brantley Pick-Six! MSU leads 27-0 at halftime

Pick-six! What a way to end the first half. Michigan State's Charles Brantley intercepts Prairie View A&M's Cameron Peters' pass in the end zone and carries the ball the length of the field for a touchdown. Brantley's 100-yard touchdown is the longest in program history, along with five other defensive touchdowns. The extra point is worthless, and the Spartans head to the locker room with a 27-0 lead.

Carter's explosive touchdown gives MSU a 21-0 lead

The Spartans scored another touchdown to extend their lead to 21 points. Chiles handed the ball off to Nate Carter, who rushed an impressive 60 yards. Prairie View A&M tried to answer with 4:45 left in the first half.

Panthers remain goalless

The Panthers end their 10-play drive with an unsuccessful 37-yard field goal attempt by Guillermo Garcia Rodriguez. MSU wants to extend its lead and will start at its own 20-yard line (7:43 2Q).

Prairie View A&M continues to struggle to get things going. The Panthers are three-and-out and have to punt. MSU starts at its own two-yard line (13:58 2Q).

Johnson scores touchdown, Spartans lead 14-0

Touchdown, MSU! Chiles finds Aziah Johnson for a 17-yard touchdown. The extra point is good and the Spartans end the first quarter with a 14-point lead over the Panthers (0:07 1st quarter).

Chile's touchdown puts MSU ahead 7-0

Aidan Chiles of Michigan State rushes six yards and puts the Spartans in the lead. The extra point counts and the Green-Whites lead 7-0 (6:13 1st quarter).

Prairie View A&M starts with the ball

Michigan State wins the coin toss and pushes back. Prairie View A&M struggles to find its offensive rhythm on the opening drive and has to punt the ball away. The Spartans have the ball on their own 40-yard line (12:24 1st quarter).

Nick Marsh had an outstanding performance with eight catches for 194 yards, including a 77-yard touchdown to tie the game in the fourth quarter and bolster MSU's closing momentum.
