Exclusive | Prince Harry receives a call from estranged royals on his 40th birthday –

Prince Harry will receive a call from the royal family today on his 40th birthday, palace sources told The Post.

The Duke of Sussex will soon turn 40 and lives in sunny Montecito, California, surrounded by his wife Meghan Markle and their two children.

And despite being 5,459 miles from his home soil, it looks like the father of two will likely receive a birthday call from members of the Windsor clan later today.

“Harry will hear from his family,” a palace source told The Post exclusively. “It's very likely that Charles and Kate will call Harry to wish him a happy birthday.”

However, the source adds that Harry is unlikely to hear from his estranged brother and future king Prince William, who paid him no attention when they both attended their uncle's funeral in the UK last month.

The insider, who knows both brothers personally, says the 42-year-old Prince of Wales is unlikely to have any contact with Harry “given everything that has happened.”

Early Sunday, the royal family sent Prince Harry a birthday message for the first time in three years.

“We wish the Duke of Sussex a very happy 40th birthday today!” Official X of the Royal Family Account posted.

According to The Post, Harry reportedly wants to take a weekend trip to the mountains with his close friends.

The runaway royal's birthday is doubly special this year, given the huge inheritance he will receive.

Thanks to the arrangements made by his late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, Harry will receive a huge settlement as he enters his 40th year.

The mother of the late Queen Elizabeth II had paid $90 million into a trust fund for her family and stipulated as one of the conditions of the fund that Harry would have access to his share of the trust fund when he turned 40.

Unlike his estranged brother, who was rewarded with a ceremonial bell concert at Westminster Abbey on his milestone birthday, Harry is said to receive a whopping $8.5 million from his share – more than William received for his 40th birthday.

William and his wife, Princess Catherine, were reportedly “disgusted” with Harry's share of the inheritance.

Sources close to the Prince and Princess of Wales told Closer last month that the couple believed the Duke did not deserve the income.

Still, Grant Harrold – who worked as King Charles' personal butler for seven years – believes the royals could be reunited in the next year or so.

“I'm a firm believer that things will improve over time, because time heals all wounds,” Harrold told the Post. “How long will that take? Who knows, but I'd like to think that in about a year we'll see them together and in each other's company.”

“I have no doubt that one day we will see the four of them, Harry, William, Kate and Meghan, laughing and as they once were – the Fab Four, as they were called. Anything is possible,” he added.

As for Harry's attitude, the exiled royal welcomes the milestone of the new era.
