Bucs fans' confidence drops ahead of game against Lions

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of NFL fans. All year long, we ask questions of the most connected Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fans and supporters across the country. Register here participate.

You might think that a convincing win to start the season would boost the confidence of Bucs fans, but that is not the case.

This week's poll results show Buccaneers fans are 15 percent less confident ahead of their team's game in Detroit against a Lions team that knocked them out of the playoffs last season.

The loss of confidence could also be a result of the many injuries the Bucs have suffered. Their most serious injury is that of safety Antoine Winfield Jr., who could be out for up to four weeks due to a foot injury. And then of course there is the calf injury to defensive tackle Calijah Kancey, who did not play in week one and will not play in week two.

On the other hand, it could also be due to the mating.

In another poll, we asked Bucs fans if they believe Tampa Bay will leave Detroit victorious. Only 31 percent of fans believe that will be the case.

Most recently, in our final poll this week, we asked Bucs fans how many touchdown passes they thought Baker Mayfield would throw against his former teammate and current Lions cornerback Carlton Davis III.

Most Bucs fans who participated in the poll believe Mayfield will only throw one against Davis.

The Bucs and Lions kick off Sunday at 1:00 p.m. EST, trailing by 7.5 points according to FanDuel.
