NFL odds, Vegas lines, picks, spreads, game predictions: Model high on Buccaneers, Ravens in Week 2, 2024

The NFL's Week 2 schedule on Sunday features just two divisional games, but those are the ones bettors often favor in their NFL picks. That's because you can see NFL point trends from previous matchups, and there's a clear trend in the Giants vs. Commanders game on Sunday. In their last eight meetings, either team has scored exactly 20 points five times, so when making NFL Week 2 predictions for this game, it only makes sense to use 20 as a score. Washington is favored at 1.5 at home in the latest NFL odds, one of the lowest NFL odds of the week. The biggest NFL betting odds this week belong to the Ravens, who are favored at 8.5 over the Raiders. All of the Week 2 NFL odds are listed below, and SportsLine's advanced computer model has all of the NFL betting tips and NFL predictions you need to make the best Week 2 NFL picks now.

The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, has gained well over $7,000 since its launch for $100 players on A-rated NFL picks. The model enters Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season with an incredible 184-130 run on top-rated NFL picks dating back to the 2017 season. It also has a 38-22 run on A-rated NFL picks since Week 7 of the 2022 NFL season.

The model has been in the top 10 in pure NFL picks on NFLPickWatch four of the last six years and beat more than 94% of CBS Sports Football Pick'em four times during that time. Anyone who has been following it ranks way up there.

Now it has turned to the latest NFL odds for Week 2 and NFL betting lines for the spread, money line and over-under, and set picks for every NFL matchup. Click here to see all the picks.

Top predictions for NFL Week 2

We can tell you that one of the model's strongest NFL picks for Week 2 is for the Ravens (-8.5, 41) to score at home against the Raiders. Baltimore just lost narrowly to Kansas City in the NFL Kickoff Game, but will be able to dictate the pace of Sunday's game. Running back Derrick Henry, who had just 13 carries against the Chiefs, faces a Raiders defense that allowed the Chargers 176 rushing yards last week and ranked outside the top 20 against the run last season.

Henry has only managed fewer than 50 rushing yards in consecutive games three times since 2019, so this is the perfect opportunity for him to get back on track. Meanwhile, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson rushed for 122 yards in Week 1 and Baltimore went 3-0 against the spread after a loss last season. The Ravens have covered the spread as favorites in five of their last seven games, while the Raiders are consistently 1-7 in their last eight road games. See which other teams to pick here.

Another NFL prediction for Week 2: The Buccaneers (+7.5, 51.5) are successful on the road against the Lions. Tampa Bay is a team with many veterans and Pro Bowl-level players on both sides of the ball. In Week 1, the Buccaneers dominated in their 37-20 victory over the Washington Commanders.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield was strong in Tampa Bay's season opener, throwing for 289 yards and four touchdowns. He'll face a Lions defense that allowed 317 yards to Matthew Stafford in Week 1. Detroit has home-court advantage, but SportsLine's model has the Buccaneers covering in well over 60% of simulations. See which other teams to pick here.
