New York Jets running back believes his rushing attack will explode in Week 2

The New York Jets are back on the road in Week 2 to face the Tennessee Titans, with the team looking for their first win of the year.

It was a bad first week for the Jets in several areas, as the team didn't look good on offense or defense. Considering New York didn't get to play its starters in the preseason, it's safe to assume there would be a lot of rust.

This certainly seemed to be the case for the Jets, as they lost by a score of 32-19.

The final score suggested a much closer game than it actually was, and New York will look to bounce back in Week 2.

While the defense took a lot of the blame for their inability to stop the San Francisco 49ers, the Jets offense couldn't do much against them either.

In the loss, New York struggled to get its star running back Breece Hall on the ground.

Against the 49ers, Hall only managed 54 rushing yards in 16 attempts, with his longest run being 13 yards.

The star running back recently spoke about the difficulties of getting going on the ground and emphasized that he believes in a breakthrough in the running game.

“We're just so far away from that little check mark,” Hall told Zack Braziller of the New York Post. “For me personally, that's huge, just knowing that if we do those little things now, we'll get everything we want in the running game and the passing game with our playmakers. We just need to focus on our fundamentals and technique so we can hit the ground running on game day.”

San Francisco is known for having one of the best defenses in the league over the past few seasons, so this was not an ideal starting opponent for the Jets.

This week they will see a drop in competition against the Titans, but they can't overlook that.

While the Chicago Bears' team focus is probably not on running the football, Tennessee managed less than 4.0 yards per carry, which is an excellent number.

The Titans will look to win in the trenches again this week, as that was their recipe for success against New York in Week 1.

If the Jets want to get back on their feet, they need to get their running game under control.

Even though they now have Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, this is still a team that prioritizes running.
