Alan Cumming jokes that Taylor Swift “stole my look” at the VMAs

The “Cruel Summer” singer walked the red carpet in a design by Dior, consisting of a yellow tartan corset and a tartan cape skirt. The collection is a tribute to Scotland.

A few days after Swift walked the VMAs red carpet in a plaid ensemble, Cumming, 59, walked into the 76th Emmy Awards in tartan.

When fans commented that Swift's look at the VMAs was similar to his wardrobe as host of the American version of The Traitors, Cumming joked, “The bitch stole my look.”

He continued: “It was hilarious because obviously I look exactly the same next season, but I find it hilarious that so many people said something like 'Taylor Swift looks like Alan Cumming' – a phrase I never thought I would hear.”

After the VMAs, Cumming wrote on X, “Um, @taylorswift,” and shared a photo montage of herself in plaid next to a photo of Swift at the VMAs.

Cumming won the Emmy for outstanding host of a reality or reality competition show for “The Traitors.”

In this exciting game show, participants try to find out who are the loyal ones and who are the traitors, and have the chance to win a cash prize.

The original show aired on the BBC in late 2022 and was hosted by Claudia Winkleman.
