Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman hint at wild vacation together: “Karaoke and Margaritas”

On the Emmy Awards red carpet, the co-stars of “Reba” and the upcoming “Happy's Place” talked about how much fun they have together

Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman are keeping quiet about the wild vacations they take together.

The former stars of the popular sitcom Rebainitially refused to reveal details about their fun times together when she was with E! Live from the Red Carpet Presenter Laverne Cox at the 2024 Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 15.

“What's Reba and Melissa's wildest vacation moment that you can share with us – or maybe you shouldn't share with us?” Cox, 52, asked the Emmy hosts.

“No. It can’t. It can’t,” 69-year-old McEntire joked in response.

But 53-year-old Peterman wanted to spill the beans. “I'll tell you everything!” she said. “Karaoke and margaritas.”

McEntire jokingly pretended the interview was over before her longtime friend could reveal more. “We have to go! They're running out of time, look at that,” she joked.

The duo spoke about their friendship, which dates back to their former sitcom on The WB (now The CW). McEntire said she and Peterman “vacation together, raise our kids together,” adding, “We've known each other for a long time.”

They are now back on screen on NBC’s Happy's Placethe premiere is scheduled for October 18. Peterman reacted to the news of her casting in March, writing on social media, “This is why I was smiling the whole time… Buckle up @reba, we're going to have fun!”

In the new sitcom, Bobbie (McEntire) inherits her father's restaurant and is less than thrilled when she discovers a new business partner: a half-sister (Belissa Escobedo) she never knew she had, according to a press release from the network.

“We have a great ensemble cast with the same producers, showrunners and writers that we had on the Reba show, and it's a great script,” McEntire told PEOPLE in May, confirming that she would record the show's theme song.
