Kristen Wiig reinvents her dress code at the 2024 Emmys, just like at the actual award ceremony: with metallic gold basket weave

Dressed in her very best FOB (Fuck Ass Bob), Kristen Wiig showed up at the 2024 Emmys looking like the human version of an awards statuette—and I mean that in the best way.

The actress wore a strapless Oscar de la Renta ball gown made from a stunning gold metallic basketweave fabric. The crisscross fabric was further embellished with crystal beads, while the pointed, scalloped edges at the hem and neckline added a touch of, well, edge.

Wiig paired the dress with the aforementioned bob, a simple diamond necklace, stud earrings and a long almond manicure.

Kristen Wiig was nominated at the 2024 Emmys for her Apple TV+ series. Palm Royaleas both Outstanding Lead Actress and Executive Producer of the show. Wiig's costumes in the show, set in the fictional elite social circle of 1960s Florida, were almost as glamorous as this red carpet showstopper.

She was also nominated for an Emmy for her role as presenter Saturday Night Live on April 6. Not only is Wiig a former host of the cult variety series, it was also her fifth tenure as host, so it's hardly surprising that she hit the jackpot.
