Nominee Robert Downey Jr. and wife Susan arrive at the 2024 Emmy Awards

Robert Downey Jr. is joined by his wife Susan on the red carpet at the 2024 Emmy Awards at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday (September 15).

The 59-year-old Oscar winner is nominated for his first Emmy as an actor, for Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries, Anthology or Movie for his role in “The Sympathizer.”

He and Susan are also executive producers of the show.

Although this is Robert's first Primetime Emmy nomination, he has already won a Daytime Emmy. Earlier this year, he won Outstanding Lifestyle Program for his unscripted series Downey's Dream Cars!

In case you somehow missed it, Robert will be rejoining the MCU, but in a completely different role. This time, he will play a future main villain and star in a new Avengers movie!
