Sister Wives' Kody Brown 'regrets' not spending time with his son Garrison before his suicide

“The only thing I regret is using the time,” said 55-year-old Kody People in an interview published on Sunday, September 15. “I want to go out to eat again. I want to sit down. I want to have a beer. Garrison committed suicide in March at the age of 25. His death was essentially a wake-up call for him to spend more time with his loved ones and to prioritize those relationships, Kody said.

“Life is full of moments like that,” the father of 18 continued. “I recently went on a short trip with my brothers – and I almost didn't do it. There were other things that were urgent and I just said to myself, 'What if this is the last time?'”

Kody also said that his son's death made him take a closer look at what was really important in life and that he has now learned not to be “too petty” when it comes to disagreements with others. The TLC star admitted that he also regrets the divorces of three of his four wives.

“There is even regret about the divorce – Meri [Brown,] Janelle and Christine [Brown] – those divorces and the anger during those divorces,” Kody confessed. “Sure, I regret it.”
